Is Russia helping Iran in attacks on American targets? Zelensky's sensational claim

There is a war going on in the Middle East between Iran and the US-led faction. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky has alleged that Russia had shared intelligence information with Iran before the attack on the US military base in Saudi Arabia. At the center of this new development is Ukrainian President Zelensky, who has alleged that Russia played a direct role in helping Iran target US-linked military targets.

Speaking during a visit to Qatar, Zelensky said he was confident that Russia shared intelligence with Iran before the attack on the US airport in Saudi Arabia. He said that I think it is in Russia's interest to help the Iranians. And I don't believe it, I know they share information.

Photos taken of Prince Sultan Airport

According to President Zelensky, Russian satellites took pictures of Prince Sultan Airport on March 20, March 23 and March 25. American and Saudi forces are deployed at this base. Iran attacked it on March 26, in which many American soldiers were injured. Zelensky said that taking photographs like this again and again is not normal.

He explained, we know that once they take pictures, they are preparing. If they take pictures a second time, it's a kind of practice. Taking pictures for the third time means they will attack in a day or two.

No evidence to support claims

Despite the seriousness of the allegation, there is no evidence to corroborate the intelligence information shared by Ukraine. Zelensky's briefing did not include direct evidence from the satellite images nor did it explain how Kiev obtained the information.

Russia has also rejected similar allegations in the past. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently denied that Moscow was sharing intelligence with Iran, although he acknowledged ongoing military cooperation between the two countries. However, earlier reports had suggested that Russia was possibly providing information to Iran about the location of US forces in the region.

Zelensky gathering support for Ukraine

Zelensky is seeking support from Gulf countries for Ukraine's war against Russia. During his visits, Ukraine has offered its battlefield experience, particularly in air defense and drone warfare, to countries facing Iranian missile and drone attacks.

Agreement with Saudi Arabia and Qatar

He said agreements have already been signed with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in which Ukraine will share technical expertise in exchange for significant investments. They recognize our expertise, Zelensky said, and cited Ukraine's experience in countering Iranian-made Shahed drones widely used by Russia in its war.

Huge increase in demand for missile defense systems

The Ukrainian leader also expressed concern that the growing conflict in West Asia could divert vital US military supplies from Ukraine. There are repeated attacks on American allies in the region, due to which there has been a huge increase in the demand for missile defense systems. I am very worried. I hope the United States will not repeat such mistakes, Zelensky said, and stressed that the West's continued military support is extremely important for Ukraine's defense.

These claims of Zelensky, whether proven or not, point to a major change in global equations. As Iran escalates confrontation with the US and its allies, and Russia continues its war in Ukraine, the possibility of conflicting interests between Moscow and Tehran is becoming difficult to ignore.
