On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump remarked, 'The United States is engaged in serious discussions with a new and more sensible regime to end military operations in Iran. There has been significant progress, but if an agreement is not reached soon—something that is likely to happen—and if the Hormuz Strait is not opened for trade immediately, we will conclude our presence in Iran by destroying all their power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island.'

Trump reiterated his threat, stating, 'This will be revenge for our many soldiers and others who were brutally killed by Iran during the 47 years of terror under the old regime.' Meanwhile, Iran has threatened to target the homes of American and Israeli officials. Ibrahim Zulfiqari, spokesperson for Iran's joint military command, declared that the residences of U.S. and Israeli officials can now be considered legitimate targets.
