• Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi fast On this day, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear red or yellow clothes.
• Take a pledge to fast in front of Lord Ganesha with water in your hand.
• Remain virtuous throughout the day and avoid anger or abusive words.
• After sunset, install the idol of Lord Ganesha on a red cloth.
• Offer them vermillion, Akshat, flowers and 21 Durvas.
• Offer modak or laddu to Bappa.
• When the moon rises at night, mix milk, water and Akshat in a silver vessel or pot and offer Arghya to the moon.
• Break the fast only after this.
• End the puja with aarti.
• Apologize for all the mistakes made during puja.
