No one can trust American diplomacy… Iran said – US betrayed during talks

The ongoing tension between America, Israel and Iran has reached its peak. Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry has claimed that due to Israel's provocation and strategic mistakes, America has become embroiled in an aggressive conflict with Iran. Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai said Washington's diplomatic efforts are no longer credible.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry says that 'no one can trust American diplomacy now'. They (Americans) impose their wishes and exert pressure under the pretext of diplomacy and negotiations. Baghai said this in an interview with Al-Masri Al-Youm newspaper on Wednesday. He said that America uses diplomacy and negotiations to impose its interests. According to him, now no one can trust American diplomacy, because it has become only a means of creating pressure.

'America-Israel imposed war'

The Iranian spokesperson clarified that the current conflict is not of Tehran's own will. He said that this war has been imposed by America and Israel. In which innocent people have lost their lives. Iran has also demanded that such situations should not arise again in the future and the region should not get trapped in a vicious cycle. Baghai said, 'Iran wants to ensure that such a war does not happen again and that we do not get trapped in this vicious cycle.'

The attack started during the conversation

Baghai revealed that Tehran was involved in indirect talks with Washington, brokered by Oman, when the large-scale and unprovoked military operation began. He said that this is the second incident in a period of 9 months when diplomacy has failed. He accused the Americans of betraying the talks to start the war.

'The aim is to create division in the Muslim world'

The spokesperson told Press TV, 'We did not start the war. America and Israel started a war, in which innocent people lost their lives. These are the parties that have destabilized the entire region by using the land of another Muslim country to attack one Muslim country during the holy month of Ramadan. In my opinion, this is extremely disgusting and dangerous. This is a conspiracy. Their intention is to create division in the Muslim world.

He called on the Persian Gulf countries and the wider Muslim world to remain extremely vigilant and made it clear that Tehran bears no hostility towards regional countries. But this conflict can affect the future of the entire region. Baghai further said that following the results of the previous talks held in June 2025 and February, Iranian public opinion is currently against any kind of dialogue with the US.

Allegations of attacks on civilian targets

The Iranian side has claimed that civilian structures like schools and hospitals have also been targeted in this conflict. Giving the example of bombing of a primary school in Minab, he called it a serious crime. He said this is one of the "crimes committed since the anti-Iran campaign began more than a month ago". He claimed that hospitals and schools are being continuously targeted.

Baghai said, 'What is happening is not just a conventional war against any one country. This is a war that is affecting the future of the entire region and its countries. It would be a big mistake to assume that this is just a conflict between Iran on the one hand and America and Israel on the other.

Death of many big leaders including Khamenei

This military campaign against Iran, which started on February 28, has caused massive losses. The attack killed the former leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as well as several high-ranking military officers and civilians. The ongoing attacks across Iran have targeted both military and civilian infrastructure, causing massive loss of life and property. In response, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on American bases and Israeli bases in West Asia.

Describing the status of the new leader, Baghai confirmed that Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei is completely safe and healthy, although due to war-like circumstances he is not appearing in public.
