The driver involved in the incident was identified as Yevgeny Mirman, 51, from Massachusetts. The crash took place shortly before noon on Tuesday, and it was reported that the all-electric Lucid Gravity he was operating caught fire following the collision. A group of individuals, including New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte, her security detail, and several bystanders, played a crucial role in rescuing Mirman from the burning car before it was completely consumed by fire. According to State Police Colonel Mark Hall, a trooper and two bystanders managed to extract him through a window after assessing the critical nature of the situation. Governor Ayotte also exited her vehicle to assist and retrieved a fire extinguisher, although officials confirmed she was not in immediate danger. Mirman sustained serious injuries; however, they are not considered life-threatening. He was transported to Elliot Hospital for medical attention. A witness reported that the driver seemed disoriented and mentioned the possibility of a child being in the vehicle, but subsequent confirmation from his wife clarified that no child was inside. Firefighters utilized specialized tools, including a fire blanket, to extinguish the flames, while the northbound lanes of the Everett Turnpike were closed during the emergency response.
