When will Delhi-Dehradun Expressway open? The government gave this information in the Parliament

Three main routes of Delhi will be signal free, after which the journey of one hour will take just 15 minutes. The government gave this information in the Parliament. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra said in the Lok Sabha on Thursday that three major routes in the national capital Delhi have been taken under the National Highway and they will be made signal free. He also told that the Delhi-Dehradun highway will be inaugurated within the next eight to ten days.

Malhotra, while replying to a supplementary question by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from South Delhi Ramveer Singh Bidhuri in the Lok Sabha, said that there are three main roads in Delhi which have recently been taken under the National Highway.

Which routes will be signal free?

Harsh Malhotra said that in the capital, three busy routes from Ashram to Badarpur, Mehrauli to Gurgaon and Punjabi Bagh to Tikri will be made signal free by building flyovers and the distance of more than an hour will be reduced from 15 minutes to half an hour.

Work going on on another road

Malhotra said that to overcome the frequent traffic jams in an area near the airport while coming from Gurgaon to Delhi, a five kilometer tunnel from Shivmurti to Nelson Mandela Marg will be built at a cost of Rs 3,500 crore and work on it has been started.

He said that operations on an elevated road from DND here to Faridabad to connect with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway are likely to start in the next six months. Malhotra said, we are going to inaugurate the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the next eight-ten days.
