Haryana Board Exam 2026: The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has announced significant relief for students this year. In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP), the Haryana Board will now conduct Class 10 and 12 board examinations twice annually. The objective of this initiative is to provide students with a second opportunity to improve their scores. This rule will be applicable to students across all Secondary, Senior Secondary, and Gurukul Vidyapeeth streams. According to Board Chairman Pawan Kumar Sharma, this step has been taken to alleviate academic stress among students and to offer them a chance to enhance their performance.
Application Dates for Taking Board Exams Twice in Haryana
Students who appeared for the examinations during the February-March 2026 session and are dissatisfied with their scores may apply to take the examination a second time. To facilitate this, the Board has initiated an online application process. Applications for this purpose commenced on April 4, 2026, and the deadline for submission is April 10, 2026. Students can apply by visiting the official website, bseh.org.in. Students may appear for examinations in a maximum of three subjects, as per their convenience. The application fee for each subject is ₹1,000. This opportunity is particularly beneficial for students who may have lagged behind in one or two subjects or who wish to improve their grades.
Board Examination Schedule
The Haryana Board conducted the Class 10 and 12 examinations from February 25 to April 1, 2026. Following the conclusion of these exams, the evaluation of answer sheets is currently proceeding at a rapid pace. The evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets is scheduled to take place from April 3 to April 28, 2026, while the evaluation of Class 10 answer sheets will be conducted from April 2 to April 24, 2026. Evaluation centers have been established across various districts for this purpose. For Class 10, the process involves 75 centers and 6,969 teachers across 22 districts; for Class 12, it involves 52 centers and 5,009 teachers. The Board has endeavored to make the evaluation process entirely transparent and time-bound.
When Will the HBSE Class 10 and 12 Results Be Released?
According to the Haryana Board, the Class 10 and 12 results are expected to be released by the second week of May. Once the evaluation of answer sheets is complete, students’ marks will be uploaded directly to the Board’s official website. Students will then be able to check their results and download their digital mark sheets.
