Veteran Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha is under attack from his own party these days. There is a strong discussion in the political circles that Raghav Chadha may soon leave the broom and take up the ‘lotus’. Although, no official seal has been given on it yet, but experts believe that if Raghav joins BJP, it will be a big blow to Kejriwal’s party.
Amidst all this speculation, a video of Raghav Chaddha is spreading like wildfire on social media. In this video, he is seen jokingly saying, “I will become Prime Minister one day.” Actually, this clip is from an old episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ of July 2025, in which Raghav had arrived with his wife Parineeti Chopra. Raghav and Parineeti’s fun had won everyone’s heart during the show, but now the same joke is being linked to today’s political situation.
The entry of this couple in Kapil Sharma’s show was quite explosive. When Raghav Chaddha came on stage he was barefoot. When asked by Kapil, Raghav laughed and told that his shoes had been stolen. Then Krishna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda arrived there posing as ‘sister-in-law’ and ‘bride’s brother’ and started asking for money from Raghav. This funny exchange had the audience in a tizzy.
While revealing her love story in the show, Parineeti told that she and Raghav first met in London. Parineeti jokingly said that she had also checked Raghav’s height on Google. When Kapil reminded that Parineeti had once said that she would not marry a politician, Raghav immediately quipped. Raghav said that whatever Parineeti says is often the opposite. On this very issue, he said that viral line – “Every morning I wake him up and tell him to tell me that I will never become the Prime Minister… then see, one day I will become the PM.”
This funny video is going viral at a time when the distance between Raghav and ‘AAP’ is clearly visible. The party has removed him from the post of Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha and given this responsibility to Ashok Mittal. Leaders like Saurabh Bhardwaj and Anurag Dhanda have accused him of not being aggressive on party issues in Parliament.
On the other hand, Raghav says that he is raising real issues like water crisis and pollution, hence there is a conspiracy to silence him. Social media users even claim that Raghav has removed his old anti-BJP posts and now more posts praising PM Narendra Modi are visible on his account. However, there is no official confirmation of these claims yet.
