Chhattisgarh News: A shocking incident has come to light in Korba, Chhattisgarh, where a young man was beaten and stripped naked by his friend after running on the road for drinking alcohol. The incident occurred on March 27, but its video has recently gone viral on social media. On the complaint of the victim youth, the police have registered a case against the accused and started searching for him.
The victim is youth Amardas (36 years), who is addicted to alcohol. He lives in the servant quarters of Kaveri Vihar. His wife does cleaning work in the houses of government officials. According to the information, on March 27, Amardas went to his friend Saroj Kumar and took his bike and went to drink alcohol. When he returned, it was found that he had sold the bike to buy liquor.
After this the friend beat him severely, stripped him of his clothes and made him run around on the road and beat him. When passersby saw this, they saved the youth and informed the police on 112. The accused fled from the spot. The injured youth was taken to the hospital.
The video of the assault has surfaced on social media, in which the young man is seen running drenched in blood. On the basis of the video, the police have registered a case against the accused under various sections and intensified the search for him. Darri police station in-charge Ashish Singh said that the victim had lodged a complaint earlier also. Now after the matter becomes clear on the basis of video, further action will be taken. The accused is a resident of Ratanpur area of Bilaspur and is currently absconding.
