After a major breach in the security of Delhi Assembly on Monday, investigation is going on in the matter. Police detained 3 people including the driver from Roop Nagar in North Delhi and seized the Tata Sierra car. Meanwhile, the partner of the accused's elder brother also says that the accused is mentally ill and is undergoing treatment for the last 7-8 years. He loses his mental balance many times.

Sonpal Singh, partner of the accused's elder brother, told news agency ANI, "Sarabjit (accused)'s elder brother is my partner in my work. His nephew, who was studying PG in Delhi since December 1, has gone missing from there, and there is no trace of him." He told that he was mentally disturbed. Earlier, he was undergoing treatment in Faizinpur. He had lost his mental balance due to mental problems. That is why he had gone there to meet Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. He has had this disease for at least 7 or 8 years. “He has been getting mentally disturbed sometimes because of this.”

Big mistake in security of assembly

Earlier on Monday, there was a major lapse in the security of the Delhi Assembly when a masked person broke the gate on the border of the Assembly complex with his SUV and forcibly entered inside and then placed a bouquet on the car of the Assembly Speaker and left through the same route. Then high alert was declared in the entire area. This incident happened after 2:10 pm.

Speaker Vijendra Gupta was in his office in the Assembly when this incident occurred. More than 100 security personnel of Delhi Police and CRPF are deployed for the security of the Assembly. Regarding the incident, an officer says that this entire incident happened in just 5 to 7 minutes.

Suspect not found in the premises

After the security lapse, several police teams and bomb disposal squad thoroughly searched the assembly premises to eliminate the possibility of any kind of threat. However, nothing suspicious was found in the premises. Forensic experts also examined the bouquet.

Sources related to the police say that the accused has been identified as 37 year old Saravjit Singh, resident of Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh and it is also being told that the accused is a supporter of 'Farmers Movement'.

Sarabjit's family members interrogated

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Police reached Sarabjit's house in Pilibhit and interrogated his family members, who claimed that he was suffering from various mental health issues and was undergoing treatment.

Officials said that a high-level committee has been formed to investigate the security lapse and the entire matter will be monitored by Special Commissioner level officers.

According to eyewitnesses related to the incident, Saravjit Singh hit gate number 2 while driving at high speed. This gate opens towards Shamnath Marg in Civil Lines. He is accused of placing a bouquet and garland inside the Speaker's official car. Police say that only the accused was traveling in the SUV. According to sources, the accused was also sitting inside the car for some time.
