This incident happened during CJKS Talent Cup 2026. In this tournament, 7 players were found getting out intentionally. The names of these players are Saqib Hussain, Obaidul Alam, Omar Farooq, Tin Dhar, Mahir Anwar, Mohammad Iqbal and Nazmul Islam. During the match, these players were getting out in a strange manner, after which an investigation was conducted against them and now they have been found guilty of match fixing.
Apart from these 7 players, action was also taken against coach Aminul Haq. Taking disciplinary action against Haq, he has been banned from all cricket activities. After the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League season, it was revealed that BCB (Rajshahi Division) Director Mukhlesur Rahman Shamim was also involved in discussions related to match fixing. A journalist had made a revelation in which Shamim was shown organizing a meeting with match-fixers in a hotel in Sylhet. It was also revealed that two people associated with Noakhali Express franchise were involved in match fixing.
There was a big change in Bangladesh Cricket Board also on Tuesday. The Bangladesh government removed former captain and BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul from the post. Now the command of BCB has been handed over to Tamim Iqbal. According to BCB sources, Aminul has been removed due to the controversy during the T20 World Cup. It was during his tenure that Bangladesh team could not play in the T20 World Cup despite qualifying. BCB had refused to send its team to India. Now Tamim Iqbal has been made the President of BCB, who is considered a supporter of India. He had criticized the decision of not playing the T20 World Cup in India.
