South Eastern Coalfields Limited has issued a recruitment notification for over a thousand posts. According to the released notification, online applications for this recruitment drive will commence on April 15 and can be submitted until May 14.

Through this recruitment drive, appointments will be made for three key positions: 577 posts for Mining Sirdar (T&S Grade-C), 43 posts for Deputy Surveyor (T&S Grade-C Mining), and 435 posts for Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Grade-C.
It is evident from these positions that this recruitment targets technical roles within the mining and electrical sectors; thus, it presents a unique opportunity for young professionals with a technical educational background. To apply for these posts, candidates must have passed their Matriculation (10th Grade) examination and must also hold a diploma in the relevant trade to ensure they possess the requisite technical knowledge.
Regarding the age limit, as of April 8, 2026, candidates must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 30 years of age. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with government regulations.
In terms of application fees, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay ₹1,180, while the application process is free of cost for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories.
The selection process has been kept straightforward. Candidates are required to appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) only. Candidates who secure the prescribed cutoff marks in the examination will be called for document verification. No interview will be conducted as part of this recruitment process, thereby making the selection procedure even more transparent. Selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary of ₹47,330.25.
