Business Desk – Sensex-Nifty Big Fall: Uncertainty regarding the possible ceasefire between Iran and America has once again started selling in most of the global markets. Crude oil prices rose sharply due to Iran once again closing the Strait of Hormuz, causing panic. Asian markets fell sharply. On the domestic front, both Sensex and Nifty are trading in the red.

Although some light buying is being seen in mid-cap and small-cap stocks, sector-wise analysis shows that the IT sector is putting a lot of pressure on the market; The Nifty IT index has fallen by more than 1%, while the Nifty Metal index has registered a gain of about 1%.

Amid these mixed trends, the total market capitalization of companies listed on BSE has declined by more than ₹2 lakh crore, which means investor wealth has declined by more than ₹2 lakh crore amid this otherwise vibrant market environment.

Talking about the equity benchmark index, BSE Sensex is currently trading at 77,001.41 points, which is down 561.49 points (0.72%) as of 09:16 am. While Nifty 50 is at 23,836.05 points, which shows a decline of 161.30 points (0.67%).
