Biogas Plant: Due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East countries, there is a huge shortage of LPG gas across the country for the last few months. In view of this shortage, the Government of India has recently taken an important decision to provide relief to the citizens. Taking a new initiative, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has launched the Biomass Aggregation Machinery (BAM) online portal. Under this initiative, any citizen of the country can apply for setting up a biogas plant sitting at home. When can you apply?

The process of filling the forms of this scheme has started from 1st April 2026 and its last date is 30th April 2026. You have only one month to apply, so submit your form as soon as possible without any delay.

What is the easy way to apply?

  • First of all you have to register yourself by going to BAM portal (bam.eil.co.in).
  • Along with this, it is also mandatory to register on the portal of GOBARDhan scheme.
  • Keep in mind that the application will be accepted only when you complete the registration on both the portals.
  • To avail the benefits of this scheme, you will have to make an agreement with the government for at least 5 years.

What is GOBARdhan Scheme?

This scheme was started in 2018, whose main objective is to produce biogas, bio-CNG and organic fertilizer by using cow dung and agricultural waste. In this, the government itself gives up to 50 percent of the cost as subsidy, which reduces the financial burden on those starting the work.
