The Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted the terror, arms and espionage module sponsored by Pakistan's intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Babbar Khalsa International (BKL). Police have arrested 11 accused of this gang from Punjab and Delhi. Police Special claims that the arrested accused were conspiring to terrorize the entire country with a grenade attack. At present the police has started interrogating the accused.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police has recovered 9 solar powered CCTV cameras from different places on the behest of these suspects. They were deployed at sensitive places near security agencies. They have been uninstalled. Apart from this, 4 pistols and 24 live cartridges have been recovered from the accused. The arrested accused were smuggling weapons to run the terrorist module. According to sources, this entire module and its handlers sitting in Pakistan were making final plans to carry out grenade attacks in security agency areas in India.
Earlier, the Special Cell of Delhi Police was working on this after the recent terrorist module busted in Ghaziabad. They were continuously getting inputs that the modules of Ghaziabad which were installing CCTV cameras in sensitive areas were sending live feed to Pakistan. It was also revealed that Pakistan based handlers were running another similar module in Punjab and Delhi. After this, two teams of Special Cell of Delhi Police started working on this module. The Special Cell has busted the racket of arms smuggling into India, planning of grenade attacks and espionage through thermal solar CCTV cameras on the instructions of handlers sitting in Pakistan.
It is being told that first of all the NDR team of Special Cell arrested 6 accused in which 3 are from Punjab and 3 from Delhi. On their notice, 9 CCTV solar cameras which were installed near security agency sensitive areas were uninstalled and recovered. Sources have revealed that these cameras were installed very close to the defense base. The accused pretended to be from the civil department and pretended to install government CCTV cameras so that no one could doubt them. The live feed of these CCTV cameras was sent directly to the handlers of Pakistan through SIM, the handlers of Pakistan were keeping an eye on our defense movements through this feed. Apart from the cameras, 3 PX5 pistols, one country made pistol and 24 live cartridges were recovered from them. These accused used to take funds through UPI accounts which were used for arms smuggling.
The second operation was being handled by the SWR team of Special Cell. After the input of Military Intelligence, the team arrested 5 accused from Punjab who were sharing video photos of sensitive areas. 3 PX5 pistols, 1 country-made pistol, 24 live cartridges, two vehicles to receive weapons, two motorcycles which were used for recce of sensitive areas, 24 mobile phones have been recovered from them. Meanwhile, Additional CP Pramod Kumar Kushwaha of Delhi Police Special Cell said that two separate operations were conducted, in which 11 people were arrested. He had installed 9 CCTV cameras in different parts of the country, including Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu.
Accused Manpreet, who is a resident of Tarn Taran, Punjab and is the mastermind of this module, was in direct contact with the Pakistan based handler. Accused Anmol-Punjab is a resident of Firozpur, accused Sahil is a resident of Punjab Firozpur. The accused Atul Rathi is a resident of Rohini, Delhi and is involved in arms smuggling. Accused Rohit is a resident of Rohini Delhi. Accused Ajay is a resident of Delhi. Accused Gurjeet Singh is a resident of Kapurthala, Punjab. The accused Rimpledeep is a resident of Fazilka Punjab. Accused Salwinder Singh is a resident of Fazilka Punjab. Accused Harpreet Singh is a resident of Moga, Punjab. Buta Singh is a resident of Fazilka, Punjab.
CCTV cameras were installed near army bases in Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Patiala, Moga and Ambala in Punjab. Apart from this, cameras were also installed at army bases in Jammu and Kashmir, Kathua, Bikaner and Alwar in Rajasthan. The police have uninstalled all the cameras and taken them into custody.
Police claim that the young and poor boys in the arrested gang were being radicalized, recruited, lured with money and involved in terror activities and arms smuggling in the country. In this matter, the Special Cell registered a case, the accused were identified, raids were conducted in Delhi and Punjab and they were arrested with evidence. The arrested accused Manpreet revealed during interrogation that he has contacts with Pak base handlers who are associated with ISI and BKL. On the instructions of Pak based handlers, Manpreet received 7 foreign pistols, 56 live cartridges and delivered them further. It was Manpreet who arranged the mobile SIM on fake documents and supplied it to the contacts of Pak based handlers in Punjab. These SIM cards were used to send live feed to Pakistan from solar CCTV cameras installed in sensitive areas.
Through this operation, the module of Pak based ISI – BKL Army, Defense and BSF to install CCTV cameras in sensitive areas and provide live feed to spy for sensitive movement information has come to light. A big conspiracy regarding arms supply, terrorist activity, information through CCTV and then arm and grenade attack in defense areas has been revealed. According to the Special Cell, 9 solar CCTV cameras have been removed from almost all the areas mentioned by the accused but the operation is still going on.
