Emmerdale viewers are convinced they've identified who ignited Robert Sugden's barn - and it's a soap icon rumoured to be returning.
This week, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was freed from prison after being wrongfully incarcerated for double murder and alleged involvement in Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) twisted scheme.
During Moira's absence, her relatives have been contemplating considerably. Alongside husband Cain's (Jeff Hordley) cancer diagnosis, he and their offspring relocated from Butler's Farm to Wishing Well.
They were additionally compelled to sell Moira's cherished farm to villainous Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) the present tenant of the property.
And in Thursday's instalment (April 16) events took a dramatic twist when a blaze erupted in one of the barns. Moira swiftly assumed command of the circumstances and succeeded in extinguishing the flames, reports the Daily Star.
Nevertheless, after witnessing proceedings unfold, Joe informed her that the fire might have been ignited because somebody had discovered Moira's release from prison, leaving Moira terrified.
And now, viewers are persuaded they've worked out who is responsible for the fire. And it's a soap icon speculated to be returning to the village. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one individual predicted Sadie King (Patsy Kensit).
They posted: "Sadie started the fire calling it now." A second concurred: "Maybe Joe is right and someone is out to get Moira. Sadie has a history with Cain."
A third wrote: "You're onto something here. Out for revenge." Earlier this month, it was revealed that Sadie - who made her first appearance in 2004 - is set to make a return to the soap. She was last seen in 2006, when Cain double-crossed his former love interest, prompting her departure.
According to reports, however, she will be making a comeback before long, with "explosive scenes" in store. A source is claimed to have told The Sun: "This signing has been kept a top secret as bosses want Patsy's return to shock fans.
"She is apparently delighted to get her teeth back into the meaty role. Scriptwriters want to keep the show going with explosive plots and divisive characters."
