The fear of anti-national activities being promoted through suspicious economic networks in the country has increased the concern of security agencies. In this series, documents related to an important case have been handed over to the central investigation agency NIA by Nashik City Police. On the basis of these documents, the agency has started its investigation process in a very confidential manner.
According to sources, this matter is being said to be related to 'Corporate Jihad', in which suspicious transactions are suspected to be done through some companies. The investigating agencies are now investigating the financial records of these companies, sources of investment and their entire network of transactions. Especially, where the money coming into these companies came from and in what activities it was used is being seen.
Initial investigation has indicated that some fake or paper companies were being used to raise funds on a large scale. There is a suspicion that this money may have been used to provide financial support to anti-national activities. The agencies are also investigating whether these transactions are linked to international organizations or foreign funding networks.
Nashik Police Chief had said that we would like to make it clear that we are conducting a thorough investigation in these cases keeping in mind all the aspects. We had written letters to the State Intelligence Department (SID), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) seeking their attention and cooperation. As soon as we get any evidence, we will be able to reach some conclusions about these aspects. The first of the nine cases of sexual crimes, attempts at religious conversion and religious harassment at the workplace was filed by a woman on March 26. The woman had alleged that one of the accused sexually exploited her by promising to get her a job and marry her.
