Taking a major action, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested four such youths. It is being told that these youth were preparing to carry out terrorist activities in the country. However, before that the police caught him. These four accused have been arrested from different states of Maharashtra, Odisha and Bihar. IED making material and mobile phones have been recovered from the accused, investigation is underway.
According to the police, all these youth were influenced by fundamentalist thinking and were working with the motive of hatred. It is being told that these people were promoting dangerous ideas like Ghazwa-e-Hind and were also instigating others for the same, so that they could fulfill their nefarious plans.
Investigation has revealed that these accused were associated with secret (closed) groups on social media, where there was talk of terrorist ideology, jihad and weapons. Investigation revealed that through these groups, these people were working to connect new people and instigate them. According to the police, two of these accused were preparing to make a remote controlled IED (bomb). For this, necessary items like ball bearings, nails, toy cars etc. had been collected.
Investigation also revealed that an accused had come to Delhi in December 2025 and conducted recce (inspection) of important places like Red Fort and India Gate. He had also shared objectionable posts along with the photo of Red Fort on social media, so that people could be instigated. One of the arrested youth was raising money (crowd funding) through social media, while the other was promising to use weapons and provide training. Money was also being asked from people for this.
All four accused come from ordinary families and most of them have studied till 10th class. Investigation revealed that some of them are mechanics, some are security guards and some work as plumbers. According to the information, under the influence of social media and fundamentalist speeches, these people took the wrong path and got involved in anti-national activities. The Special Cell has registered a case against all of them under sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) 2023.
