Delhi Capitals defeated defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in a thrilling match. In the match played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Delhi defeated Bengaluru with the help of half-centuries by KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs and two consecutive sixes in the last over by David Miller. Batting first in this match, Bengaluru scored 175 runs losing 8 wickets. Despite a bad start, Delhi achieved it in the last over. With this, Delhi registered its third win in this season, while Bengaluru had to face its second defeat in this season.

The Bengaluru team, full of explosive batsmen, could not show the power of its bat in this match and for the first time in this season could not cross the 200-run mark despite playing full 20 overs. For that, once again Virat Kohli and Phil Salt made a very fast start but Delhi bowlers put brakes on Bengaluru's innings. Phil Salt played a quick inning of 65 runs but apart from him, no other RCB batsman could play a big inning. Captain Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Lungi Ngidi took 2-2 wickets for Delhi.
