Bollywood Films Shot in Pahalgam: Today i.e. 22nd April, it has been one year since the Pahalgam terrorist attack. This terrorist attack had brought tears to the eyes of all Indians. Beautiful valleys, snow covered mountains and calm lakes, all these are the identity of Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to its unmatched beauty, Pahalgam has been at the top among the shooting locations of Bollywood. Pahalgam is called the paradise of Jammu and Kashmir. Surrounded by mountains, flowing rivers and greenery, this area has been witness to the shooting of many blockbuster films. Let us take a look at those films which have been shot in the beautiful valleys of Pahalgam.
Bollywood and Kashmir have a decades-old relationship. Pahalgam has always been the favorite shooting location of the makers. The flowing rivers and green fields have made it special for films. Pahalgam is also called 'Mini Switzerland'. Many famous films like Betaab (1983), Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Haider, Raazi, Highway, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Rockstar, Silsila, Kabhi Kabhie and Satte Pe Satta have been shot in Pahalgam.
Rain:- 'Barsaat', released in 1949, first brought Kashmir to the silver screen. Directed by Raj Kapoor and starring Raj Kapoor, this film had stars like Premnath, Nargis Dutt and Nimmi. It is from here that Bollywood's deep connection with Kashmir began.
Bud of Kashmir:- In the 1964 film 'Kashmir Ki Kali', the pairing of Shammi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore mesmerized the audience. The beautiful valleys of the valley have been depicted well in this romantic film of Shakti Samant.
Sometimes:- In the 1976 film 'Kabhi-Kabhi', Yash Chopra beautifully combined romance and the plains of Kashmir. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhi and Rishi Kapoor were seen in the film.

Mission Kashmir:- 'Mission Kashmir', released in the year 2000, simultaneously showed the terrorism, religious conflict and love prevalent in the valley. The powerful performances of Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt and Preity Zinta were in the news. Many of its scenes were shot in Kashmir.

Crazy youthfulness:- In Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' released in 2013, the places of Kashmir have been shown as Manali. Some hilly scenes of the film were shot in Pahalgam and Gulmarg.
Haider :- Many scenes of Shahid Kapoor's film 'Haider', released in 2014, were also shot in the Kashmir Valley and Pahalgam areas.
Highway:- There was talk of picturing the climax of Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda's film 'Highway', released in 2014, in the beautiful areas of Pahalgam.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan:- Many scenes of the 2015 superhit 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' were shot in Kashmir and Pahalgam. Many important scenes of this Salman Khan film were shot in Aaru Valley of Pahalgam.
Laila Majnu:- Trupti Dimri's film 'Laila Majnu', released in 2018, was shot in the beautiful area of Pahalgam. This film was re-released in September 2024.
Agree:- In 'Raazi', released in the year 2018, there is information that many scenes were shot in Pahalgam area of Kashmir to show the background of Pakistan. This movie of Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal was a superhit. Apart from this, Chandu Champion was also shot in Aaru Valley of Pahalgam.
