During the IPL clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals at Ekana Stadium, Ravindra Jadeja grabbed attention not just for his performance but also for his unique celebration after dismissing Nicholas Pooran.

Jadeja removed Pooran during the middle overs, tightening Rajasthan’s grip on the game. Pooran, who was cautiously building the innings, looked set before Jadeja’s precise bowling sent him back to the pavilion.

What followed was a celebration that quickly went viral. After taking the wicket, Jadeja gestured by putting his hand into his pocket, signaling that the batter was “in his pocket.” The animated reaction stood out, as Jadeja is usually known for his trademark “sword” celebration after contributing with the bat.

After the match, Jadeja revealed the story behind the gesture. “Yeah he is in my pocket. Nothing, just randomly thought came into my mind and I did it,” he said.

Earlier in the match, Jadeja played a crucial role in rescuing Rajasthan’s innings. At one stage, the team looked set to be restricted to around 120 runs, but Jadeja stepped up under pressure and guided them to a competitive total of 159. He scored a valuable 43 off 29 balls, including two boundaries and a towering six.

He also contributed with the ball, delivering a disciplined spell of 1 for 29 in his four overs.

Rajasthan Secure Comfortable Win

Rajasthan Royals went on to register a convincing 40-run victory over Lucknow. Chasing a target of 160, Lucknow Super Giants were bowled out for 119. The defeat marked the fourth consecutive loss for the Rishabh Pant-led side.
