New York – World-famous YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson known as MrBeast has become embroiled in a new controversy after a former female employee of his company leveled serious allegations of sexual harassment, gender discrimination and being fired after maternity leave.

According to foreign media reports, Lauren Meieromits, a former social media manager at MrBeast’s company filed a lawsuit in a federal court in North Carolina claiming she was terminated just three weeks after returning from maternity leave despite having worked at the company for a long time.

The woman stated that she faced intense work pressure during her pregnancy and maternity period to the extent that she continued attending meetings even from the hospital fearing she might lose her job if she refused.

Reports further state that the lawsuit also alleges the company environment was highly inappropriate and disrespectful toward women and mentions inappropriate remarks involving the company’s CEO, James Warren.

Lauren claimed that these actions violate U.S. laws particularly the Family and Medical Leave Act. On the other hand, Beast Industries has rejected the allegations calling them baseless and an attempt to gain publicity.

The company stated that Lauren was not terminated due to harassment but as part of organizational restructuring and the elimination of her position.

The company also presented screenshots of messages in which colleagues advised Lauren to rest during delivery however, Lauren maintains that she remained under continuous pressure from company policies.
