Warwickshire Dominate First Innings
Coming to the game, Warwickshire produced a fine innings total of 459 in their first innings. Barnard was the star batter for the side with an excellent 165 score off 217 deliveries.
He was well backed by Chris Woakes with 64 and his own man Booth with a score of 70 runs. It was indeed a batting performance worth noting.
Tongue took 5 wickets while Lyndon James and Brett Hutton also picked a few wickets for Nottinghamshire. In their first innings, Nottinghamshire managed a score of 279. Their best performing batter included Joe Clarke scoring 94 and Ben Duckett with 62 runs.
It could have been an easy match for Warwickshire as the bowlers were effective against Nottinghamshire’s batting line-up, especially Booth and Woakes. Nonetheless, the match is still even between the two sides.
