Udupi: A major fire broke out in a commercial building near the city bus stand in Udupi on Sunday (April 26) evening.

The incident occurred in a building located next to the city bus stand. Mobile and hardware shops in the building were engulfed in flames.

According to initial reports, the fire started in a mobile sales and service shop on the ground floor and quickly spread to a nearby hardware store. Within minutes, the fire covered the entire premises.

Several expensive mobile phones, spare parts and hardware materials were reportedly destroyed in the blaze.
