After this the batsmen played with some caution but could not increase the run rate. Between 7 and 15 overs, the team added 58 runs after losing 2 wickets. In the end, the situation worsened and Delhi team could not even play the entire death overs. During this period, it could score only 4 runs after losing 2 wickets. The result was that the entire team was reduced to just 75 runs in 16.3 overs.
For Delhi Capitals, their impact player scored the maximum 30 runs. Apart from him, David Miller played an inning of 19 runs, the rest of the top order was a complete flop. On the other hand, Bengaluru bowlers performed tremendously. Josh Hazlewood took maximum 4 wickets. Apart from him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets. In the last match, Delhi Capitals had scored 264 runs on the same ground but this time the situation was completely opposite. The team could barely set the target of 76 runs. The top order of the entire team failed miserably. The situation was such that three batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account, while two players could score only 1-1 runs. The surprising thing is that these two batsmen had played an important role in taking the team to 264 by playing big innings in the last match.
This time on the pitch where Bengaluru bowlers were seen dominating earlier, Delhi bowlers were not able to hold the match from the very beginning. Although Kyle Jamieson did take one wicket, he had to spend 42 runs for it.
