A massive explosion occurred late night on the dedicated freight corridor (DFCCI) railway line located between Rajpura and Shambhu railway stations in Patiala district of Punjab. After this the police surrounded the area. According to a shopkeeper, some unknown people who came on a bike threw something outside the shop and ran away. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot.
The entire area has been sealed so that no one can go there. SP DK Chaudhary said that they are still investigating whether the object is actually an explosive or something else. At present the police is investigating the matter and the people nearby are being interrogated.
