Ujjain News: Another Bhasma Aarti was taking place in the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain this morning (1 May). On the other hand, excavation work was going on for Simhastha 2028. During this excavation, JCB driver Naresh Prajapati suddenly saw a Shivalinga-like figure. He immediately conveyed this information to the temple officials. As soon as the information was received, the priests and devotees of Mahakal temple immediately reached the spot. Saw that this is a very ancient Shivalinga. After this, not only the priest but also the devotees reached this place and worshiped Shivling and took blessings.
Priest of Mahakaleshwar temple, Pandit Ashish Sharma said that these days the construction work is going on in Mahakaleshwar temple keeping Simhastha in view. Excavation work is going on these days at Mahakaleshwar Temple intersection in front of Dutt Temple. During the ongoing excavation here this morning, along with Shivalinga, other very ancient stones have been unearthed. Pandit Sharma told that this city belongs to Baba Mahakal, where there are many very ancient Shivalingas. Only the team of the Archeology Department will be able to tell how old the Shivalinga found during the excavation is. But still this is a matter of faith and belief. That is why those who are getting information about the emergence of Shivalinga are coming here to worship and seek blessings.

Devotees became happy after seeing
This morning, when the devotees who came to visit the Mahakaleshwar temple got information about the removal of Shivalinga during the excavation, the devotees reached this place. Some people offered water on the Shivalinga while others offered milk and worshiped Lord Shiva. A large number of devotees had come to see the Shivalinga, who were taking blessings here with the slogan of Har Har Mahadev Jai Shri Mahakal.
Archeology Department will investigate
In this entire matter, it is said that after the Shivalinga was removed during the excavation, the work has been stopped for the time being. But soon the team of Archeology Department will reach here and will try to find out how old is this Shivling and what is the specialty of Shivling.
The driver said- He had stopped the work as soon as he saw Shivalinga.
Regarding this, JCB driver Naresh Prajapati told that at 4 in the morning the digging work was going on, at the same time a shape like Shivalinga was seen in the paws of the JCB, I immediately informed the engineer and other responsible people about this. Since then the work has stopped. Now this work will remain closed until the officer orders.
