Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has got a big relief from Allahabad High Court. The petition demanding the order of FIR against him has been rejected by the single bench of the High Court. This petition was filed on January 15, 2025, demanding an order to register an FIR on Rahul's statement 'fight against the Indian state', on which the High Court had reserved the decision after hearing on April 8.
This controversy started with a speech given by Rahul Gandhi on 15 January 2025. He made this statement during the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters “Indira Bhawan” in Delhi. Addressing party workers, Rahul had said that BJP and RSS have captured every institution of the country, including the judiciary and media.
Rahul had said, if you think that we are fighting with some organization called BJP and RSS, then you have not understood. We are fighting not only against BJP and RSS, but against the Indian State. After his statement, an official of Hindu Shakti Dal lodged a complaint. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi's comments were anti-national.
He said that in this statement of Rahul Gandhi, the Indian state was shown as an adversary. Its purpose was to destabilize the country. He also argued that these comments had hurt the sentiments of the citizens. Not only this, national unity has been hurt. After this, Chandausi Court of Sambhal had rejected his petition for registering FIR.
The lower court termed the case weak and said the comments did not meet the requirements for criminal prosecution. After this he approached the High Court to register an FIR.
