Mangaluru: A fire incident occurred at an apartment near Nanthoor junction in the city on Friday evening.

According to reports, the Kadri fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Several household items stored inside the affected room were damaged in the incident. However, the exact extent of the loss is yet to be ascertained.

Officials said the timely response of the fire brigade helped prevent the fire from spreading further and avoided a major incident. As the fire broke out in an apartment building, it caused brief panic among residents in the area.
