Current Trends in Gold and Silver Prices Amid Geopolitical Tensions

Amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, fluctuations in gold and silver prices continue. On Monday, both precious metals experienced a decline. As of 10:36 AM, gold for delivery on June 5 was trading at ₹150,900 per 10 grams, reflecting a decrease of 0.30%. Meanwhile, silver for delivery on July 3 was priced at ₹249,522 per kilogram, down by 0.56%.


MCX Trading Insights for Today

On Monday, gold for June 5 delivery opened at ₹151,150 per 10 grams, compared to the previous week's closing price of ₹151,352. During trading, gold prices fluctuated between an intraday high of ₹151,347 and a low of ₹150,860 per 10 grams. In contrast, silver for July 3 delivery opened at ₹250,699 per kilogram, down from ₹250,937 last Thursday. Throughout the day, silver prices ranged from an intraday high of ₹251,231 to a low of ₹249,522 per kilogram.


Previous Week's Market Performance

Last Thursday, the Delhi bullion market saw a significant increase in gold prices. However, silver prices fell. According to the All India Sarafa Association, silver prices dropped by ₹1,800, settling at ₹242,700 per kilogram. In contrast, gold with 99.9% purity rose by ₹2,000, reaching ₹154,800 per 10 grams. It's worth noting that the MCX and bullion markets were closed on Friday due to Labor Day and Maharashtra Day.
