on 4th may Bengal Legislative Assembly The results of 293 seats were revealed, in which the Bharatiya Janata Party registered a bumper victory. BJP captured 206 seats, out of which one seat was also in the name of Indian cricketer Ashok Dinda. Ashok Dinda, who earned more than Rs 7 crore in his IPL career, won from Moyna seat of West Bengal by 16241 votes. This is the second consecutive time that Ashok Dinda has won from this seat of Bengal.
Ashok Dinda played IPL with 5 teams between 2008 and 2017. In his 9-year long IPL career, he earned a total of Rs 7.63 crore from this Indian T20 league, which was the total sum of salary received from 5 teams. Dinda's last IPL salary was Rs 50 lakh, which he received for playing for Rising Pune Super Giants in IPL 2017. His highest salary was in IPL 2012, when he was a part of Pune Warriors India. Ashok Dinda remained unsold in the IPL 2018 auction and with that his IPL career also came to an end. Ashok Dinda said goodbye to his cricket career in 2021.
Ashok Dinda has shown his talent for the Indian cricket team before doing wonders for the Bharatiya Janata Party. He played 21 international matches for India, in which he took 29 wickets. In IPL, between 2008 and 2017, he played 78 matches for 5 teams, in which he took 69 wickets. Ashok Dinda made his IPL debut with Kolkata Knight Riders and then served for Delhi Capitals, Pune Warriors, RCB and Rising Pune Super Giants. In IPL, he was a great bowler in powerplay and death overs. His economy in IPL was 8.20, which shows how consistent a bowler he was.
