Contract Extension till 2029: Pat Cummins has got a big offer during IPL 2026. Cricket Australia has extended his contract for 3 years and offered him 12 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 114 crore. Cricket Australia's objective behind this offer to Pat Cummins is to reduce his interest in league cricket, so that he can play more and more for the country. According to the report of Australian newspaper Sydney Morning Herald, a similar offer has also been made to Travis Head.
Pat Cummins' salary in one season of IPL is Rs 18 crore. But, if he accepts the offer from Cricket Australia, then his annual salary can increase by about 1 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 8.50 crore. They can earn Rs 33 to 34 crores in a year.
Cricket Australia's Head of Cricket James Allsop said that Pat Cummins has been performing well for Australia in all three formats for a long time. In such a situation, they have earned the right to receive what has been offered to them. James Allsop further said that one thing we know is that market pressure is falling on those players who have the most commercial value. There is demand for players like Cummins, Hazlewood, Head. Therefore, now it is our priority that he should give priority to playing for the country and not league cricket.
According to the report, Cummins has been guaranteed more payment than before, no matter how many matches he plays. However, no comment has been made by Pat Cummins regarding this offer yet. Now whether Cummins will say yes or no to this offer, what are his future plans?
