In a recently circulated video on social media, Yuzvendra Chahal was spotted allegedly vaping on a flight, prompting calls for legal action against the leg-spinner.

Chahal, who plays for Punjab Kings, is currently under scrutiny not for his on-field performance but for this controversial act. His actions have sparked significant criticism.

Former Indian leg-spinner Laxman Shivaramakrishnan has voiced strong opinions regarding Chahal's behavior, calling for a severe penalty.

Shivaramakrishnan's Strong Words

Shivaramakrishnan emphasized that since vaping is prohibited, Chahal should face appropriate consequences. Previously, Chahal was fined 25% of his match fee for this incident, which Shivaramakrishnan deemed insufficient.

What Shivaramakrishnan Said

Reacting to the situation, Shivaramakrishnan criticized Chahal on his social media account, stating, 'Vaping is banned in India. Such individuals should be imprisoned. What is the point of laws if they are not enforced? A 25% match fee fine is trivial. If an ordinary person had done this, what would the repercussions be?'

Chahal in Hot Water

Punjab Kings' fast bowler Arshdeep Singh frequently shares reels on Instagram, and fans eagerly await his videos. However, one of his clips has landed Chahal in trouble, showing the star spinner allegedly using an e-cigarette while seated on a plane.

I don’t know in which direction today’s cricketers are heading. First, Riyan Parag and now Yuzvendra Chahal was allegedly caught ‘redhanded’ vaping/smoking. It’s becoming very unprofessional. 🤡pic.twitter.com/0u7DbWJFCi

However, Cricket Adda has not independently verified the authenticity of this video or confirmed whether Chahal was indeed vaping. The use and sale of e-cigarettes are banned in India.

Riyan Parag's Similar Incident

The vaping controversy has emerged for the second time in IPL 2026. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag was seen using an e-cigarette in the dressing room during a live match. The BCCI imposed a 25% fine on him for this violation. It remains to be seen if any action will be taken against Chahal regarding the alleged vaping incident.
