Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also welcomed PM Modi's appeal on Sunday regarding judicious use of petroleum products. Answering a question on the sidelines of a program in Nagpur, he said that the Prime Minister has made a completely appropriate request to the citizens of the country. He said, we all know that due to the West Asia war between America, Israel and Iran, there is a shortage of fuel and gas across the world.
He said that our neighboring countries are also facing a huge fuel crisis and prices have increased there. The price of oil in Pakistan is Rs 450 per liter. He said that despite all this, PM Modi ensured that the fuel supply in India was not affected. Fadnavis said, we are getting adequate fuel supply.

PM Modi on Sunday said the central government is making efforts to save people from the adverse effects of war and called on citizens to overcome the challenges and take steps to help the country. Addressing a rally organized by the Telangana unit of BJP here, PM Modi suggested measures like judicious use of petrol and diesel to save foreign exchange, use of metro rail services in cities, car pooling, maximum use of electric vehicles, use of rail services to send parcels and working from home.
PM Modi said that due to the war there has been a huge increase in the prices of petrol and fertilizers. He said that when there is pressure on the supply chain, difficulties increase despite various measures to deal with the crisis. He said, that is why, during the global crisis, we have to take resolutions, keeping the country paramount.
He said that during the Corona period, we have developed working from home, meetings through digital medium, video conferences and many other methods. We have become accustomed to them. The need of the hour is that we restart these methods. Emphasizing the need to save foreign exchange due to the crisis, PM Modi called for postponing gold purchases and foreign trips for a year.
He said, we have to save foreign exchange at any cost. He also called for reducing consumption of edible oil, reducing use of chemical fertilizers, promoting natural farming and indigenous products to save foreign exchange and make the country self-reliant.
