Believe Me continued on screens this evening, though viewers hoping for another instalment tomorrow night will be left disappointed.

ITV's gripping true crime drama Believe Me has finally arrived, with the four-part series taking an unflinching look at "how the Metropolitan Police failed to thoroughly investigate the allegations" made against "black cab rapist" John Worboys.

The opening episode, which centred largely on a woman known only as Sarah - whose identity has been shielded throughout the series - made its debut last night, Sunday, May 10, on ITV.

Sarah (played by Aimee-Ffion Edwards) was depicted climbing into John Worboys' (Daniel Mays) taxi, where he presented her with a drug-laced drink, rendering her unconscious.

Episode two lands tonight, Monday, May 11, but viewers will need to exercise some patience before the remainder of the series reaches their screens.

Episodes one and two aired on consecutive nights on Sunday, May 10, and Monday, May 11, on ITV.

Viewers will now need to wait until the following Sunday and Monday to discover how episodes three and four unfold.

Here is the official episode release schedule for ITV Believe Me:

Episode One: Sunday, May 10

Episode Two: Monday, May 11

Episode Three: Sunday, May 17

Episode Four: Monday, May 18

Alternatively, fans can binge-watch the entire series with all four episodes of Believe Me available to stream right now on ITV's streaming platform ITVX.

Taking on the role of notorious convicted serial sex offender John Worboys is acclaimed actor Daniel Mays. He is best known for appearing in numerous major productions, including Line of Duty, A Thousand Blows, Code 404, Des and White Lines.

Believe Me was developed by Jeff Pope, who has extensive experience in the true crime drama genre.

Believe Me is available to watch on ITVX.
