Emmerdale villain Dr. Caitlin Todd has launched another blackmail plot, but some fans think it will lead to her death.

Over recent months, ITV viewers have watched Caitlin (Caroline Harker) transform from a demanding senior doctor into a manipulative and dangerous character.

What initially appeared to be strict workplace supervision at the hospital soon turned into a personal attack on trainee doctor Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant), including both professional and personal intimidation.

Caitlin has left her job and cited "early retirement" for her sudden exit, but is now blaming Jacob for leaving her in a well-respected role. She also knows Charity Dingle's (Emma Atkins) secret, that she and Ross Barton (Mike Parr) are the biological parents of baby Leyla, not Jacob and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).

On Wednesday's (May 13) trip to the village, Caitlin continued to grow closer to new housemate Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), much to Charity's disgust, and they eventually shared a kiss.

She also suggested to Charity that her life would fall apart if her baby's secret got out, and Caitlin demanded money to stay quiet. Charity pushed back, noting the former doctor's hard evidence of Leyla's parentage was obtained by stealing confidential medical information.

Yet Caitlin admitted she has nothing left to lose and suggested she give her a few thousand to keep her quiet. Later on at the pub, Charity defiantly turned down her offer, arguing that people may be more sympathetic to her when they find out how Todd has been bullying Jacob.

Charity later confronted Caitlin again at her home and agreed to pay £1000 to buy her silence, though the doctor upped the ante by revealing Vanessa had told her about Charity's past as a mother, and now demands a huge £10,000 by the next day, threatening it as "compensation" from her family after Jacob ended her career.

Following Caitlin's ultimatum, some Emmerdale viewers are convinced Charity will kill her to stop her from exposing Leyla's true parentage.

Taking to X, one Emmerdale viewer predicted: "Charity either needs to come clean or bury Todd in the woods, coz that woman will be back for more #Emmerdale."

A second added: "No peace talks for Charity and Todd - I want WW3 #Emmerdale", while a third confessed: "Personally, I'd be fine if Charity murdered Dr. Todd #emmerdale."

"Dr Todd may think she has the upper hand, but she doesn't realise she's taken on the Dingles #Emmerdale", pointed out one person as another explained: "Easy way to deal with Todd, Charity 'disappears' her, and then Jacob can be charged with her murder, given the history. #Emmerdale."
