Suriya’s Karuppu is turning out to be his strong comeback as his movie just recorded Rs 120 crore in three days. Helmed by RJ Balaji and co-starring Trisha, the film smoothly sailed past Rs 100 crore mark within its first weekend.
The film received a positive response from the domestic as well as global markets on its opening weekend.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Karuppu earned Rs 68 crore in India nett in its first three days. Its domestic gross collection stands at Rs 78.75 crore, while overseas collection has come down to Rs 42 crore, taking the film's worldwide gross to Rs 120.75 crore after its opening weekend.

On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy drama Pati Patni Aur Woh Do showcased a stronger Sunday after a decent opening day.
Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film opened with Rs 4 crore. On the second day, it showed little growth, earning Rs 5.75 crore. It collected an estimated Rs 7.75 crore net on Day 3 across more than 6,000 shows.
With its first three days, the multi-starrer film’s gross domestic collection has reached around Rs 21 crore, while its total India nett collection stands at approximately Rs 17.50 crore.
The response from its overseas market seemed weak as it earned Rs 3.25 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at approximately Rs 24.25 crore.

The star cast of RJ Balaji's Karuppu features Suriya as Karuppuswamy, Saravanan, and Trisha as lawyer Preethi. Singer Chinmayi Sripada has dubbed for the actress in Karuppu. Besides the lead star cast, RJ Balaji plays the role of antagonist Baby Kannan. Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Supreeth Reddy, Deepa Shankar, Lollu Sabha Maaran, and others are an integral part of the movie.
Helmed by Mudassar Aziz and backed by T-Series Films & B.R. Studios, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do stars Ayushmann Khurrana along with Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles. It also stars Vijay Raaz in a supporting role.
Based on the same storyline as its previous two eponymous counterparts, Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019 & 1978), the film’s synopsis reads: An emotional joyride, is a humorous take on modern love and marriage, weaved with chaotic misunderstandings.
