Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will reportedly team up with director Anubhav Sinha after years of silence. According to a recent report, the actor-director duo is reuniting for an action flick which will go on floors this year. Here's what we know so far:

In 2025, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha revealed that he and Ajay Devgn had not been on talking terms ever since their last film Cash came out in 2007. They reportedly stopped talking after Cash became a commercial failure. But it seems that their differences are now a thing of the past as a recent report claims that they will be coming together for an action movie.

The report said that the upcoming film will be mounted on a large like Anubhav’s earlier films like Dus and Ra.One.

Mid-day quoted a source, “It will be the kind of larger-than-life entertainers that Anubhav used to make before — think Dus [2005] or Ra.One [2011]. Now, the director wants to try his hand again at an ambitious action movie.”

The source also said that Anubhav and Ajay did not even have a disagreement. The upcoming film was conceived after Anubhav read his script to Ajay after the actor’s manager set up a meeting. Ajay reportedly liked it and asked the director to make the scale even bigger. According to the report, producer Bhushan Kumar may back Sinha’s next directorial.

The source added, “After Cash, even though the duo did not speak, there wasn’t ever a direct disagreement. Anubhav had clarified that the disagreement was between the film’s producers and financiers. A few months ago, Kumar Mangat brought them together, and Anubhav pitched one of his three scripts to Ajay. The superstar, Mangat, as well as producer Bhushan Kumar instantly liked it, and the latter may come on board. Ajay asked Anubhav to make the scale bigger.”

Although no other details about the film have been revealed, the report said that it could go on floors by the end of this year.

The movie could mark Anubhav’s return to action movies who had gravitated towards social drama since last few years. His movies like Thappad, Mulk, and Assi gained recognition for pushing strong social messages.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn has a pretty hectic slate in 2026 as well as 2027. Apart from Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 5, Ajay is also gearing up for the much-awaited third instalment in the Drishyam franchise. He also has Dhamaal 4 and Ranger in his upcoming movies list.
