Manchester United appear to be on the verge of completing the signing of midfielder Ederson from Atalanta, with the deal expected to be wrapped up within the next 48 hours.

The Red Devils are moving quickly in the transfer market, just days after concluding their 2025/26 season. United ended their Premier League campaign with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium. Currently, the club’s attention is firmly on securing the services of Atalanta’s dynamic midfielder Ederson. He frequently drops deep to collect the ball before distributing it to more creative teammates in advanced positions.

While Ederson may not be known for threading intricate passes into the penalty area, he remains composed, efficient, and intelligent in possession, demonstrating reliability and tactical discipline on the ball.

The Brazilian midfielder, who is entering the final 12 months of his contract with Atalanta, is reportedly valued at around £35 million. That price tag makes him an attractive option in the current market, especially given his experience and adaptability.
