Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal to sign Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi, as per reports from the BBC.
The Argentine centre-back’s contract with Bournemouth is set to expire this summer, and Tottenham are now close to reaching an agreement to bring him to North London.
Senesi featured in 37 out of Bournemouth’s 38 Premier League matches this season, starting in each of those appearances. Strengthening the centre-back position is considered a priority for Tottenham, especially with captain Cristian Romero expected to depart in the upcoming transfer window.
Having joined Bournemouth from Dutch club Feyenoord in 2022, Senesi has made 128 appearances for the Cherries so far, establishing himself as a key figure in their defence.
In addition to pursuing Senesi, Tottenham are also nearing an agreement to sign Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, who is likewise available on a free transfer.
