POS-KUPANG.COM, SOE— The excitement of the 2026 World Cup is not only the talk of the town but is also inspiring fans to express their passion in creative ways.
This was evident in the South Central Timor Regency (TTS), where a family of devoted Argentina supporters showed their love for the national team in a rather unique fashion.
Out of sheer admiration for Argentina’s football team, a family from SoE dressed their five-day-old baby in outfits patterned after the Tango team’s flag.
In a photograph shared on social media with the caption “Pancasila prefers Argentina,” the baby’s parents, Marfin and his wife Itha, from SoE, dressed their newborn—born on 1 June 2026—in an Argentina jersey.

The baby was given the extraordinary name “Pancasila,” as he was born on Indonesia’s Pancasila Day.
In addition to the Argentina-themed jacket, the parents also dressed baby Pancasila in a matching hat and socks to keep him warm in the cool SoE air.
Even the baby’s bedsheet featured Argentina’s national colours and flag motifs.
When contacted, Marfin revealed that he and his wife have long been passionate supporters of the team that won the 2022 World Cup.

“Our child’s name is Pancasila because he was born exactly on Pancasila Day (1 June 2026). My wife and I are huge Argentina fans, so even the bedsheet is Argentina-themed. With the World Cup approaching, we wanted to dress our baby in Argentina colours,” Marfin said on Friday (5 June 2026).
He added that many of his baby’s clothes are designed with Argentina’s flag pattern. He also plans to buy more Argentina-themed items for his child as he grows older.
“For now, it’s only the clothing because Pancasila is still very young. But soon, he’ll have other items like shoes, hats, and more, all featuring Argentina symbols,” he explained.
Marfin expressed hope that his family’s favourite team will be able to defend their World Cup title this year. (ani)
