Best foods to increase height in children

Food items required for height of children: Every parent thinks that the height development of their child depends on food and drink. According to nutrition experts, height development of children depends on proper nutrition as well as genetics. If children continue to get the nutrients they need, they can better achieve their natural growth potential.

Importance of good diet:

The quality of children’s bones, muscles, energy and sleep is linked to their diet. Necessary nutrition is needed for the development of the body, and this can be achieved only through a good diet. If there is a deficiency of nutritional elements, it can affect the growth rate of the body.

Essential foods to increase height:

The most important foods for the growth of children include milk and dairy products. Milk is rich in calcium, vitamin D and protein, which is helpful in strengthening bones. If the child does not like plain milk, milk products like curd, paneer and cheese can be included in his diet.

Importance of Egg:

Eggs are also very beneficial for the height and physical development of children, as they contain high quality protein, vitamin B12 and riboflavin. Children can be given boiled eggs, omelettes or parathas mixed with eggs for breakfast.

Consumption of green leafy vegetables:

Green leafy vegetables like spinach and broccoli are rich in calcium, iron, magnesium and vitamin K. All these nutrients are helpful for the strength and growth of bones. If the child refuses to eat them directly, they can be given by mixing them in soups, pasta or wraps.

Consumption of dry fruits:

Consuming small amounts of dry fruits and seeds like almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds daily can help in bone and brain development. They contain proteins, healthy fats and many essential minerals, hence they are considered very good for the growth of children.

Fish consumption:

For those who eat fish, this can be a great option. The omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D present in fish help the body absorb calcium well.

Apart from this, pulses should also be an important part of children’s diet. Pulses are rich in protein, iron, zinc and B-vitamins. Different types of pulses like rajma, arhar, gram, moong etc. should be included in the diet regularly, which helps in maintaining better growth, digestion and overall health of the child.
