According to reports, Persib Bandung fans are expected to receive good news as the team is rumored to be in talks with a former Real Madrid player. Supporters might soon have a new idol in the upcoming season, with several star players being linked to the Blue Prince.

The latest rumor circulating online is that former Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez is set to join Persib Bandung for the 2026/2027 campaign.

Speculation about Jese Rodriguez’s potential move to Persib Bandung began spreading widely across social media on Friday, 5 June 2026. One of the accounts reporting the news wrote that the former Real Madrid winger, who last season played for the Spanish second division side UD Las Palmas, recorded 33 matches, 10 goals, and 3 assists. The post ended with a playful message telling followers to simply enjoy the rumor.

So far, there has been no official statement from Persib Bandung regarding this speculation. However, if the deal materializes, Jese Rodriguez’s arrival would undoubtedly make waves in the 2026/2027 transfer window. Given his international profile and star status, his signing would attract significant attention from both local and international media.

Jese Rodriguez is a graduate of Real Madrid’s renowned youth academy. He made his senior debut for the Spanish giants during the 2011/2012 season and continued to feature for the team between 2013/2014 and 2015/2016.

During his time at Real Madrid, Jese shared the dressing room with global superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale. He also gained valuable experience competing in Europe’s top tournaments, including La Liga, Copa del Rey, the UEFA Champions League (UCL), and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Across all competitions, Jese Rodriguez made 94 appearances for Real Madrid, accumulating 3,089 minutes of playing time. Throughout those matches, he scored 18 goals, provided 15 assists, and received four yellow cards.

With Real Madrid, Jese Rodriguez lifted several major trophies, including the UEFA Champions League, Copa del Rey, La Liga, and the FIFA Club World Cup. Beyond his time in Madrid, he also represented other top clubs such as Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Stoke City.

In the 2025/2026 season, Jese featured for UD Las Palmas in Spain’s Segunda División. Over the course of that campaign, he appeared in 33 matches, spending 1,848 minutes on the pitch, and contributed 10 goals along with three assists. His contract with UD Las Palmas is set to expire on 30 June 2026.

With his contract nearing its end, fans and analysts alike are eager to see where Jese Rodriguez will continue his career. Could the Spanish forward be the next big name to light up Indonesia’s Liga 1 with Persib Bandung in the 2026/2027 season? Time will tell.
