The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has apprehended three individuals suspected of aiding the Islamic State (ISIS) and financing drone strikes aimed at American forces stationed abroad, as reported by the US Department of Justice. The individuals have been named as Bisaam Ghafoor, Elias Shamsaldeen, and Bereen Dzayee. Prosecutors claim that these men expressed loyalty to ISIS and utilized online platforms, such as Discord, for communication and coordination of their activities.

According to court documents referenced by the Justice Department, the suspects allegedly engaged in discussions regarding plans via encrypted online chats and provided financial backing intended to support drone attacks against US military personnel deployed overseas. FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrests on social media, labeling the operation a notable success in counterterrorism efforts. He stated, "If you betray this country, we will find you and you WILL FACE JUSTICE!"

These arrests highlight ongoing worries among US security agencies regarding the exploitation of digital platforms by extremist organizations to recruit followers, gather funds, and coordinate operations across borders. Federal officials have not revealed the specific foreign locations targeted for the alleged drone strikes.
