As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, the demand for jerseys from participating nations has surged. Football jersey stores across Pekanbaru are experiencing a significant spike in orders.
One such store is Specialist Jersey, located on Jalan S Parman. The owner, Aldy Rizal, stated that he has had to increase his stock of World Cup jerseys to meet the growing demand.
This surge has resulted in more orders than usual. According to Aldy, jerseys from World Cup teams are the most sought after by his customers.
“We’ve increased our stock through a larger number of orders compared to regular days. This way, our customers can get the newest and most complete range of jerseys,” Aldy told Tribunpekanbaru.com on Saturday (6 June 2026).
He explained that the demand for 2026 World Cup jerseys has been increasing since May 2026, especially as excitement builds ahead of the global football tournament held every four years.
Aldy added that the growing euphoria has prompted customers to flock to his shop to find their favourite team’s jersey.
“Sometimes we even run out of stock. But our customers don’t mind waiting in line or pre-ordering to secure the jerseys they want,” Aldy said.
Among the many jerseys available, Aldy revealed that Japan’s jersey has become the best seller. Other popular choices include Spain and Argentina. He noted that Japanese jerseys are particularly appealing because of their versatile design.
“The design of Japan’s jersey makes it suitable for both sports and casual wear. Due to high demand, its price tends to be slightly higher,” Aldy explained.
The Japan short-sleeve jersey is priced at Rp 210,000, while the long-sleeve version costs Rp 250,000. For the player issue edition, short sleeves are sold at Rp 280,000 and long sleeves at Rp 320,000.
According to Aldy, the jerseys he sells are premium-quality products imported from Thailand. Despite their high quality, they remain affordable for local customers.
However, since the jerseys are sourced from abroad, their prices are somewhat affected by fluctuations in the US dollar exchange rate.
Even so, Specialist Jersey Pekanbaru continues to adjust pricing to align with customers’ purchasing power. This means that while profit margins are kept modest, customers still receive top-quality jerseys at reasonable prices.
Aldy emphasized that his store offers premium-quality jerseys at accessible prices to ensure customer satisfaction.
The materials used for jerseys at Specialist Jersey are of high quality, comparable to those sold by official retailers. For player issue jerseys, Aldy claimed they are 99 percent identical to what professional players wear, differing only slightly in fabric thickness and stitching patterns.
“When it comes to pricing, we always strive to stay competitive while ensuring our customers can enjoy and proudly wear the jerseys they love,” Aldy concluded.
