Kantara Chapter 1 You must have seen this movie. This movie released in the year 2025 became a super hit not only in the country but also in the whole world. The film had a budget of Rs 125 crore and grossed over Rs 800 crore worldwide. Due to the craze of the film, it was released in several languages. Where was the shooting of Kantara Chapter 1?

Talking about the shooting location of the film, the initial and most part of the film was shot around Kundapur, a coastal region of Karnataka. A huge studio named Hombale Films was created here. According to reports, the studio turned out to be one of the largest film sets in India that required as many as 600 carpenters to build. This set was used in the film to depict the Kadamba Empire. It also depicted some scenes in the forest of Shakleshwar. Some scenes of the film were shot in a village around 20 km from Kundapur. Instead, some scenes were also shot on the banks of Sauparnika river.

Talking about how to reach here, you can use many options. One can use all the three ways to reach here i.e. air, rail and road.

Airline: If you are planning to go by air then you can come to Mangalore by flight. After this you can reach Kundapur by taxi or bus.

Railway Route: Daily trains like Matsyagandha Express or Netravati Express from Mumbai go to Kundapur. A train journey from Mumbai to Kundapur takes 15 to 17 hours.

Road Route: There are many luxury buses available from Mumbai to Kundapur. If traveling by car, the distance from Mumbai to Kundapur is generally 900 to 950 km.
