The district administration in Jaipur has imposed a temporary ban on mobile internet services. Actually, this decision has been taken in view of the encroachment removal action to be taken by Jaipur Development Authority on June 8. The administration says that this step has been taken as a precaution to maintain law and order and peace. According to the order issued by Divisional Commissioner V Sarwan Kumar, this ban will come into effect from 12 midnight on June 7 till 12 midnight on June 8, i.e. for 24 hours.
In fact, in the order issued by the administration, it has been said that this decision has been taken in view of the possibility of spreading rumors and spoiling the atmosphere by misuse of social media and internet services. For this reason mobile internet services have been temporarily stopped. Under the ban, 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile internet services will remain closed. Along with this, bulk SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, X (Twitter) and other social media platforms will also be affected. However, keeping in mind the convenience of the common people, voice call services will continue to operate as before.

This order will remain applicable in large parts of Jaipur Police Commissionerate area. The police station areas where internet services will remain closed include Galata Gate, Manak Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Adarsh Nagar, Brahmpuri, Nahargarh, Kotwali, Jalupura, Sanjay Circle, Shastri Nagar, Bhatta Basti, Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaisinghpur Khor, Banipark, Kanota, Tunga, Andhi, Jamvaramgarh, Samod, Raisar, Govindgarh, Chandwaji, Shahpura, Achrol, Viratnagar, Areas like Pavata, Pragpura, Manoharpur, Bhabru, Kaladera, Chaumun, Harmad, Jhotwara, Kardhani, Vaishali Nagar, Sodala, Shyam Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Circle, Sanganer, Pratapnagar, Muhana, Shivdaspura, Bagru, Dudu, Phagi and Phulera are included. Apart from this, this order will also be applicable in all the police station areas of Jaipur North and Jaipur East districts.
Jaipur Development Authority has also informed the people that this temporary ban on internet services has been imposed to avoid any untoward situation and to maintain peace during the proposed encroachment removal action on June 8. The administration says that the purpose of this step is only to maintain law and order and prevent any rumor or disorder, so that the entire operation can be completed in a peaceful manner.
