Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shatrughan Sinha has put an end to the talks of separation from the party. He said on Thursday that Mamata Banerjee supported me in trouble, I will not leave her. Speaking to news agency PTI, the TMC MP said, 'There has been a lot of speculation about me for the last few days. Some people are telling the truth, while some are spreading rumours. Some people have claimed that I have joined the so-called rebel group. Yes, I have always been outspoken by nature. I often say that if speaking the truth is rebellion, then I am also a rebel. I want to say clearly that Mamta ji stood with me in difficult times and today in her difficult times, I cannot leave her alone.

Shatrughan Sinha said, I want to thank the people of Asansol and West Bengal for giving me so much love, respect and support and ensuring my victory again and again. I came to Asansol for the first time on the invitation and insistence of Didi (Mamata Banerjee). In my very first election there, I won by a record margin. Later, I won for the second time also by a bigger margin. Therefore, I especially want to thank Mamata ji, Trinamool Congress and above all the people of Asansol and West Bengal.

He further said that I want to make it clear that I have always worked for everyone in Bengal, no matter which party they belong to or whether they voted for me or not. I understand my responsibilities and will continue to fulfill them. Mamta Banerjee was one of the few people who supported me and encouraged me. He believed that I should remain in public life without any interruption in my parliamentary journey and on his advice I contested the elections from Asansol. By the grace of God and the support of Mamata ji and the people of Asansol, I won.

Congratulations to PM Modi

Earlier, TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha congratulated PM Modi on completion of 12 years of tenure. He said that in true sportsman spirit, congratulations to our friend and guide of society/country PM Modi on completing 12 years in office, perhaps the longest tenure till date. Wishing you a long, healthy and happy life. Jai Hind.
