Anvay Dravid, son of Indian cricket’s great batsman and former head coach Rahul Dravid, has been included in India’s Under-19 ODI team for the Sri Lanka tour. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the team for this tour to be held next month. In which young wicketkeeper-batsman Anvay has got a chance. The team will play 3 ODIs and 2 four-day matches in Sri Lanka.

Anvay Dravid has been selected on the basis of his recent domestic performance. Captaining the Karnataka Under-19 team, he batted brilliantly in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy and caught the attention of the selectors. Now he will have a big opportunity to showcase his talent at the international level.

Showed strength in Vinu Mankad Trophy

17-year-old Anvay Dravid is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. In the recently concluded Vinoo Mankad Trophy, he played a key role in taking Karnataka to the quarter-finals. In six innings of the tournament, he scored 220 runs and batted at an average of 55. He was the second most successful batsman of his team. This performance is considered to be the biggest reason for his selection.

Anvay had earlier been a part of India B Under-19 team in November 2025. He played against Afghanistan Under-19 in Bengaluru. Although he was out on the very first ball in that match, he proved his usefulness by taking two catches behind the wicket. Now for the first time he has got a chance to go on a foreign tour with the Indian Under-19 main team.
