Ethanol Fuel Policy India: The Central Government has taken a very big and historic decision for the general public troubled by the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given legal approval to the use of 100% ethanol fuel to completely eliminate the country’s dependence on foreign fuel and expensive petrol and diesel. This step of the government has been taken with the aim of taking India rapidly towards green energy and alternative fuels.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced this big decision at a press conference organized on the occasion of completion of 12 glorious years of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Nagpur. He told in a very interesting manner that last night at exactly 8 o’clock he had signed his signature on this file that would change the fate of the country, due to which the use of 100 percent ethanol has now been legally approved.
During this time, Nitin Gadkari, remembering his old days, said that ethanol has the potential to become an excellent and very cheap alternative to petrol. With this, India’s huge expense (import bill) of importing fuel from abroad will be reduced to a great extent. He smiled and said that when he initially talked about this idea, people used to laugh at him and make fun of him. Even some of his friends had strongly criticized this vision, but today this dream has come true.
Automobile companies have also geared up to implement this scheme. Gadkari said that many big car manufacturing companies of the country have made preparations to launch luxurious vehicles running on ethanol in the market in the coming few weeks. Big companies like Toyota, Suzuki, MG and Hyundai will launch their 100 percent ethanol based vehicles within the next one and a half month. Let us tell you that last week the government had also introduced E85 fuel for flex-fuel vehicles, due to which the hassle of petrol is going to end forever.
